What Plugins Do I Use?

I have a number of plugins installed on this blog and some of them I feel should be on every blog that is online today. They help you get the most out of your blog and whilst there are other blogs who have better plugins they normally keep their list a secret.

Today I will expose to you (oo-er missus!) all to my list of plugins that help me keep I Need Discipline, Dean Saliba Dot Com and Wrestling Gazette in working order.

Adman – a plugin that I use to insert adverts before, after and in the middle of posts. Works with all ad code.

Akismet – This keeps my blog nice and neat from spam, it will catch about 99.9% of the spam, I’d rather get one or two spam comments to moderate a day than about 50-100.

Brian’s Threaded Comments – Does what it says on the tin, it threads your comments so you know who is replying to who.

Buy Me a Beer – A plugin that offers the reader a chance to donate money to you. I have a private modded version of this plugin to receive sponsors for the Dog Trust charity.

Commentluv – a plugin that will show a commenters latest blog post when they leave a comment.

Google XML Sitemaps – This plugin will generate a sitemaps.org compatible sitemap of your WordPress blog which is supported by Ask.com, Google, MSN Search and YAHOO.

NoFollow Free – A plugin that will remove the NoFollow option from your blog.

Popularity Contest – A plugin that ranks the popularity of each post on your blog. Interesting for you to find out which posts are doing well.

Related Posts – Places a link of related posts at the bottom of every post.

Sociable – A plugin that lists a number of social network links that people click to submit your posts.

StatTraq – Where in the hell would I be without this plugin? This is the plugin that tells me how many people come to my site, how they get here, what they look at and all sorts of other information.

Subscribe To Comments – Allows your readers to be notified of new comments to a certain post.

Trackbackers – Displays a list of domains that link to you the most.

WordPress Automatic Upgrade – Helps me update WordPress without a lot of hassle.

WordPress Database Backup – An easy way to back up the database.

WordPress Mobile Edition – A text version of your blog for people with mobile phones!

WP-ContactForm: Akismet Edition – a spam resistant contact form.

WP-EMail – Allow readers to email your post to a friend.

WP Grins – Every blog needs smilies!

Feel free to leave a comment and let me know what your favourite plugins are. :)
