Infinity Ads – Bringing An Infinite Amount of Malware & Spyware

I have always been keen to try out new advertising networks that come onto the market. Back in 2004 I started to try out PayPopUp. I stopped using them because they were pushing their publishers to use the pop-up ad unit and because they did not care about advertisers promoting malware through their units.

I received an email a couple of months ago informing me that PayPopUp was closing down and moving their publishers over to their new company Infinity Ads. I moved over because I had about $10 with them and they promised to pay out. (a promise that they kept)

I thought I would give them another chance because it had been over five years since I had last used them. Surely they had changed in that time?

The answer is ‘no’.

Within minutes of installing their ad code I was receiving complaints from readers and visitors because they were being served malware, spyware and were even being hijacked and taken to other dodgy sites.

They really had not listened to the complaints from their publishers.

I think I had them on the blog for about four hours before I took them off and deleted the URL from my bookmarks.

I’m not saying they are a scam, but if you do decide to use them then please try and think of your readers and visitors because they WILL be bombarded with unwanted ads.
