It is something that we get asked all the time: “How do I get more traffic to my blog?”, and it is something that you should never really stop asking yourself – traffic is something that you need to constantly work on.
Because whether you are a newbie or an experienced blogger you are always going to need traffic for your blog – a blog with no traffic is a dead blog.
Here are some methods that I use to drive traffic to this blog, and they will work no matter what niche your blog is covering:
1. Blog Commenting
Blog commenting is a great way of driving traffic to your blog and is probably one of the easiest ways. As long as you write quality and informative comments (steer well clear of the one line comments) then you will find visitors will follow you to your blog, and you might build online friendships with these bloggers.
2. Guest posts
Guest posting is considered one of the best ways to drive traffic to your blog, but it can be one of the most difficult because the better the blog and more picky they will be when it comes to guest posts.
But if you are a talented writer then most blogs will be only too happy to publish your post.
Don’t just steam straight in though, build up a connection with the blogger first by maybe communicating with them on social media or blog commenting on their blog.
3. Share Content on Social Media
It surprises me why more people do not share their content on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Pinterest.
As long as you don’t flood your timeline with post after post promoting your content then you should find you can gain a good amount of traffic from this method.
4. Interview Bloggers
You might have seen this on other blogs where the author will interview another blogger in the same niche as them. This will gain you traffic because the interviewee will happily promote the interview on their blog and on their social media platforms.
5. Self-Publish A Book
This is something a little bit different from the other tips I have listed.
Write small eBooks that tackle a problem in your niche, make sure you include links to your blog, then publish it on Amazon and as many smaller online book stores as your can.
You can always give the eBook away for free and pass it around on numerous forums.
