10 Juicy First Steps
to Making Money Online
Have you ever wondered how to work from home
making money online? Are you tired of all these making money
scams and so-called wealth gurus who charge oodles for their
invaluable tips? Fear not, because I am here to provide free
advice for your online money-making ventures. In this article
we discuss the 10 first steps to get started making money
online in no-nonsense, easy-to-read fashion.
1. Check out ClickBank if you
haven't already and sign up for an account. ClickBank is a
digital product retailer which offers you the opportunity to
gain a commission whenever you sell a vendors product. It's
free for affiliates.
2. Think about your areas of
knowledge and expertise. It will help a lot in whatever
direction you choose to make money online to be able to share
something and gain a following.
3. In conjunction with this
try to brainstorm product ideas around your possible area of
expertise. Can you turn it into an e-book? If not then maybe
you can make a video - they're quicker to produce and will also
stand out above other products.
4. Sign up to forums and other
sites around in the area of the products you're promoting and
participate in them. Don't just say "hey guys, have a look at
this product". People tend to ignore that sort of stuff. If you
help out with people's questions and make useful contributions
they're more likely to check out the odd link you
suggest.
5. Write articles to share
your knowledge and post them to EzineArticles.com and similar
sites. Include links in your articles and send them to your
products.
6. Build up a big web
presence. Start your own web site, join social networking
sites and post regular updates.
7. Join Squidoo if you haven't
already (you may be reading this on here) and build a few
lenses around your area of knowledge. Recommend your products
in them, but don't turn your pages into billboards (that rule
pretty well applies to anything you do online).
8. Avoid AdWords or other paid
advertising to send visitors to your products for the time
being. When you build up a steady cash flow from free methods
you might want to try it.
9. If you have your own site
then think about adding AdSense to it if you haven't already.
There may be some occasions where it's not so suitable (any
time someone clicks on an ad they're making a decision to leave
your site) so just try to be aware what your site is trying to
achieve.
10. Be patient, be prepared
for it to take a little time and work. If you stick with it
eventually your efforts will pay off and you will most
certainly be able to make an income working from
home.
